Can these steps prevent terrorism?

Question

1.Give street beggars food and shelter in return for information about whereabouts of terrorist. Suspicious parcels or packests.

2.Jobless youths be given duty to take care of vicinity of large industries and malls so that unidentified persons do not come near it.The youths may be paid handsome salary.

3.Retired persons be made to sit in the parks, streets and hospital areas to watch suspicious persons.They may be given free medical treatment.

4.Retired army and police personnels be given job to enter into terrorist network.

what about politicians spreading hatred between Hindus and Muslims...?

1- we already dont have the resources to investigate every threat (got hints about 9-11 before hand)

2- you are going to put the well being of large industries in the hands of youths, when i was 16 i had a paper route, delivered less than half the papers every night and eventually got fired (would have newspaper fights)

3- free medical treatment is expensive and do we really want a bunch of paranoid vigilantes walking the streets

4- just wouldnt work

I personally think terrorism will stop when two things happen, one we stop putting our ideals on other nations and two china becomes world super power. sounds dumb but envy causes a lot of violence "an envious man thinks that if his neighbor breaks his leg he himself will somehow walk better."

No because terrorists work by their name through terror basically. For example Iraq, ever wonder how terrorists manage to plant IED's in the middle of the road? I mean you really think no one saw them do it? Of course people see them do it its just they are so scared of them they just keep their mouth shut rather than risk telling the Police whats happening.

All your proposals would work provided country's Nethas approve these proposals.  Political parties should stop patronising the any organisation having terrorists links. There should be one uniform policy to the entire country as far as controlling  terrorism is concerned.  Modernise the police and intelligence agencies.  We must emulate the small country Israel which is surrounded by hostile neighbours and effctively dealing with terrorism. Despite spate of bomb blasts accross the country over the years we have not learnt how to combat it.

what your saying makes sense i havent really thought about it that way before im sure there are many incidences that can be prevented by that strategy also checking pples profiles before letting them into a country borders would help like have their police file or social history that may help email [e-mail] for more arguments im  for terrorism prevention
