Hi All

Some times i feel one side headache (left) and also my left eye is weaker the n the right one.

left (1.75)

right(1.75)

and i spend my 8 - 12 hrs on computers daily..

i use glass only while working on the computers ans watching tv...

so i m confused that is it because of my weak eyes without proper use of glasses or its some thing related to Migraines?

how can i know this without going doc..(if possible)

otherwise will definitely go to the doctor

thanks

  1. I don't believe it is glaucoma because glaucoma does not have any symptoms until it has fairly progressed in which case you will start to notice peripheral field loss (you lose your side vision).

Computers and TV can definitely cause eyestrain and headaches.  Here are some suggestions to help reduce these symptoms:

-Take breaks.  Look in the distance for 20 seconds every 20 minutes.  I would try to take longer breaks (like a 5 minute walk) every hour if you are on the computer all day.

-Have adequate room lighting.  The lighting in the room should be the same brightness as your computer screen.

-Have the screen at least arm's length away, further if possible.

-Make sure your eyes stay lubricated by remembering to blink often or by using rewetting drops.

-Make sure there is no glare on the screen.

Hopefully these suggestions will reduce your pain.  If not, I'd head to the optometrist.  Chances are you just need a new prescription.  There really isn't a way to know without seeing a doctor, though.

    Good luck to you!

  2. i cant be sure, but i do get eye strains to, its because im always looking at the tv or computer screen, to me i would say that its eye strain, but if your really worried go to a doctor.

  3. I would go and check with your doctor... you want to be sure everything behind the eye is ok. It's really hard to tell what is going on behind the eye.
