  1. It's just an banking current account right?

Overall will they decide you are a good future customer ?

    Maybe yes, maybe no.

Many people get overdrawn, and it's a nice earner for the banks. It's not a problem (on its own).

Banks seem to ask heaps of questions, some they have to &, some they just 'feel like'.  Perhaps they would like to sell you some insurance or other financial products later?

Banks need to satisfy themselves & their policies & (in the UK money laundery prevention Laws) they are asking questions like:

Mostly, are you really who you say you are ?

Do you really live there & for how long have you been there?

And is the new account where your pay-packet or grant goes to regularly?   etc

Obvioulsy if you have a heap of CCJ's they might not want your custom.:-)

  2. yes thay can

    good luck xx

  3. of course they can reject you. the fact is, it's the bank's money so they have the final say as to whether or not they will take a risk with giving you an account.

  4. up to them who they give accounts to.

try nationwide or the post office.  they will give you a card only account whatever your circumstances.  the nationwide on has d/debits, standing orders and online banking so what else do you really need.

  5. any bank can reject you
