  1. To my understanding as long as the doctors have cleared the mother for deployment than yes they can both be deployed.  I know it has happened before that is why they would be required to have a family care plan for that possibility.  It will all be up to the doctors I would assume.  If this is a couple you know I would have them prepare for the large possibility of them both deploying.

  2. absolutely.  she can be  deployed six weeks postpartum.  her only options are to enact a Family Care plan, or get discharged before the baby is born.

  3. The mother cant be deployed. The father however can depending which Army your in.

  4. As someone above made a comment, This happens alot once deployment orders come down.  The mother wont be deployed. The father will.

  5. LMAO, She got pregnant after she had orders!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! BAHHHHHH!!!

She should be charged under the UCMJ IMO, what a waist of tax $$$.

Anyway, no she cant get deployed now, poor little girl............. Guess her comfort is more important than anyone else. Sorry folks, this makes those of us who served sick as this is the greatest copout known in the military. You have the women who serve with dignity, honor, commitment then you have those who pull a stunt like this.  She should spend the next 8 moths in the brig till she has the baby and also be busted down and pay withheld for missing movement, unbecoming, general article etc. But of coarse, the kinder more gentle military wont and so more women follow suit dishonoring the ones who really want to serve.

  6. Yes they can and do.

  7. um, the baby will b 3 months old, i think that they might be able to deploy both...hopefully u have a grandma or someone u trust to watch the baby while u are gone...good luck (and congrats)

  8. Relax, pregnant women do not deploy.

And of course they were scheduled to deploy before she got pregnant.  Funny how that happens.

  9. Calm down deployments are done by division not by who's pregnant and who's not they will handle it.

  10. They can definitely do this.  They do this to married couples all the time.  And since the two of them are NOT married,  their relationship has no bearing on this matter in the least.  Single moms deploy all of the time.  As Mrs. JVB said, she'd better get a Family Care Plan established and do it quick.  If she doesn't she can get discharged, as it is required.

  11. They will cancel the mothers deployment.
