Can they get in trouble with the law for this?

I am a part of this website where you can agree to "swap" stuff with each other, negotiating via email and personally giving out their addresses to exchange items.

Now, if two people negotiated a trade and one person DID NOT mail their end out, could the other person get them in trouble with the law? Because I have noticed some memebers threatening to "sue" each other for doing that, or calling their local police department for not sending their end of the swap.

I was just wondering, can they do this?

  1. Yes As Long As There Is A Document Agreement Between The Two. You May Sue Them And Sue Them More Than What The Cost Price Of The Trade Was ( Since You Got To Cover Now Your Time Expense, Your Lawyer Fee, Etc Etc )

  2. It can be handled through small claims court, but in reality, the cost and time involved are truly not worth it, as far as suing they could, but for that amount of money, is spending thousands on legal fees worth it?

Remember the old adage, "Let the buyer beware" , take this as a lesson into the character of people and simply never trust that person again.
