  1. possession of stolen property... a friend went to jail for a few days and now does community service and is on provation for 3 years..

  2. yeah they can go to jail for that

  3. It depends on how much was stolen,

and if this is the first time.

  4. yeah they can

  5. Sorry Bridget I do realise that, Was just using a bit of humour. What you are asking did seem a little obvious which is why I didnt take it seriously. However, since that you are serious. They can go to prison if convicted. It all depends on the judge and the seriousness.

Best advice I can give to anyone who faces a judge is show some remorse and seriously consider why the crime is so wrong.

Laws are there for a reason. :)

    Hope that was helpful.

Just want to add, If you are in the UK the law generally allows people to make mistakes (depending on the seriousness of the crime) and hope they learn from it which is why 1st offences usually result in a slap on the wrist.

  6. They can do time for it.

  7. In the UK probably not if it was a first offence. It depends on how much money they stole using it.

  8. depends how much, if it was the first time of being convicted then probably no jail time. How old is this person if under 18 he might be fine but if he is over 18 there may be some serious fines.
