Can they move me to him?

Im in the navy and my husband is in the marines. We are both stationed in the same state, but we are 5 hours away. I wanted to know if since we are married now will or is there any chance i will be moved to his command. I have a detachment there for a month so its not like i wont be able to still do my rate.... please if you know help.

  1. Call your detailer and have you asked your Chief?


  2. There is a chance that you will be moved to his command, but it is no greater because you are married.  The military makes no guarantees for inter-branch relationships (yet - there's always hope).

    The Joint Spouse program is only for couples who are both in the same branch of the military.

  3. The USAF has a joint spouse program but I do not know if it is also a DoD policy.  I would check with the Chaplain, as he/she would be the most help in family matters in the military
