Can they suspend your license even if you have no car and dont drive?

My car recently broke down, so i dropped my insurance on it and have been car pooling for the last 4 months. I found a car but now cant get it because they suspended my license. What can i do now?

  1. Most states will suspend your license for having a registered vehicle and not insuring it. Remember, insurance companies are required to notify the state when someone cancels their insurance. In your case, you will probably have to surrender your registration and then pay a license restoration fee. What you should do is call your local BMV and ask them what you should do.

  3. If the car broke down, did you sell it, or scrap it? Did you just leave it sitting in your driveway?

    Perhaps they suspended your licence because you cancelled your insurance and they think you still own a car. If you live in a state where insurance is compulsary, they can do that.

  4. In Oklahoma when insurance is dropped the state is notified that there is none. Contact  you local DMV.
