  1. wow, that sucks. i was homeschooled and i didn't do great in school, but we never got a letter or anything (even tho my parents did report our grades).

what did the letter say? i can't see any reason why they wouldn't let you make up your work at home.

  2. Your parents simply need to make sure they are following the laws where you live for homeschooling. If they have done what they legally need to, then there's no problem. In a number of places, you can't simply stop going to school--there are forms to fill or letters of intent to send. If your parents haven't done what they need to so that you can homeschool under the law, then you are considered truant. I've never heard of a government removing children from a home because of truancy, though. Fines, sure.

Just make sure your parents check into the laws where you live and that they are complying.

  3. home schooling does not mean you just stop going to school; you do need  a permit to do it, as proof that you are being schooled if you are at a compulsory schooloing age. Your parent or home schooler has to provide proof of what you are being taught and thatyou are learning it. Without this proof you can have your home schooling rights removed and then you do have to go to a proper school.  (what would be wrong with that?)

usually the State won't take you from your parents for missing some school; if they make no attempt to school you it can count as neglect and then you can be removed.

stick with it, even if they send you to a proper school; what you are learning will be useful to you even if right now you can't see why. In a bit over a year you can legally stop going. Don't stop until you have found something you want to do instead, such as a traineeship for a good job....people with little schooling and no job training end up in the worset positions at the bottom of the  heap.

  4. Homeschooling is legal in all fifty states and in Canada. For any of us to help you, we'd need to know a bit more about your situation. Was your mother homeschooling you? Was your father homeschooling you and you were just staying with you mom while he was away? Were you in compliance with state homeschooling laws, or did you just stop goingto school? In most states, if you just stop attending school mid year with no letter of intent to homeschool....you're not homeschooling. You're a truant, but if you're following all your state's homeschool laws then you have nothing to worry about. If that is the case and you've been doing everything you're supposed to then I suggest your mother and father contact HSLDA (HSLDA.org) for legal help. They're the Home School Legal Defense Association. You can also find a list of state regulations for every state in the US on their website so you and your mom can make sure you were following all the rules.

  5. you will no doubt end up in court, your parents will have to pay a huge fine and court costs, at worst mom will do jail time and you will be a ward of the state unless a relative will see that you go to school. you have to have a disability to be home schooled. go to school so it wont be as bad on you or your family, my friend was fined $50 dollars for every day her child missed past the legal school days to miss.  good luck

  6. Right now you are likely truant, which is a problem.  Your parents can get into serious trouble for not seeing to your education!  Of course, that doesn't have to happen in school.  You can be homeschooled and do not need to be disabled to do so. You do, however, have to follow your state laws.  You can look them up here http://www.nhen.org/leginfo/state_list.a...

Usually it involves filing with the state and having some kind of assesement done but not always.  Some states have little to no regulations.  Check and know your state laws, schools often don't know the homeschooling laws so it may be that you only need to withdraw from school formally.

What have you been doing at home?  Document it so you can show the school dept if need be.

  7. y wouldent you be able to still be homeschooled...........................

but still your parents can be arrested for not making you attend school but y hasent ur mom been homeschooling u or sending u 2 school
