  1. I think WiFi operates at frequencies beyond what a scanner can pick up. Plus, the WiFi phone is using a digital signal, not analog like regular radio. The real ability to intercept calls would be from other computers or devices with WiFi. The product page says the device supports full encryption though, so I wouldn't worry. Also remember that as a general rule, anything can be accessed with enough time, trouble, effort, and money. But this looks as safe as anything you might normally use on WiFi.
