  1. Cefalexin can upset the digestive system.  You really need to use a mechnical contraceptive (as a condom)  while you are on it.

    Hope your fears are unfounded.

  2. read the information booklet that came with the antibiotic it will details what other medication you can and can't take with it. if you are still worried speak to your doctor. your period may be late because you are unwell and stressed.

  3. Antibiotics DO lower the effectiveness of birth controls.  Cephlexin should be alright.  I looked up a couple classes of antibiotics, and it looks like pencillins are the main class that effects birth controls.  To be sure though I would call the pharmacy you recieved the medication from. They should be able to give you more information.

  4. Antibiotics can affect the effectiveness of hormonal birth control, but you would need to talk to a doctor or pharmacist in order to determine if that is the case with your specific situation.

However if you have missed your period, but a pregnancy test at the doctor's came out negative...your period is probably late for some other reason. You can miss a period for a lot of reasons, such as stress, change of diet or exercise, medication, illness...

If you don't get your next period again, schedule another appointment.

  5. Maybe you are pregnant, and some tablets can effect the pill. I'm not actually sure the mini pill is quite as reliable as the proper one, I had the same problem a couple of years ago, where I still was having my menstrual cycle normally...

Go to the doctor to be sure, and if you aren't pregnant go on the injection, as it's the most reliable!

    Hope I'm helping.

  6. wait a week then test again

  7. yes

  8. yes antibiotics lower the effectiveness of the mini pill your doctor should have told you this so their is a chance you could be pregnant wait another week and do a hpt just to  be on the safe side
