Can a 1st MAYBE 2nd degree burn (a few inches wide) with blistering (very little) and a little burnt skin (maybe the first layer) be a great bodily injury? Can Anyone give me examples of cases where Great bodily injury Was the appropriate conviction? What is the difference between Great bodily injury, and Serious Bodily injury?

-By the way, It took about a week for the burn to go away leaving a small burn mark BARELY visible (even to the victim) Any help?

  1. Yes! If you hire someone who knows what they are doing. But is it really that bad where you want to start problems?

  2. no clue

  3. Bodily injury is usually not the charge.  It's more often a component of assault and/or battery.....like aggravated assault/aggravated battery/assault and battery.....seems like you're trying to minimize the damage that was done which never looks good in court.  Leaving a scar is not a good thing to say the least.

It's also problematic that something was done to cause a burn.....if you throw hot oil at someone and they are able to dodge the liquid so that they only get a small burn, the fact remains that more serious injury could have occurred - shooting at someone is still attempted murder even if the bullet misses because of poor marksmanship.
