  1. Not to sure how to answer or the intention for purpose implied by this question.

However I will attempt to submit my understanding of the question in hand.

I think a 50 cubic inch, four-stroke, liquid cooled, 45 degree V-twin, SOHC, 8-valve, TSCC should be sufficient to hold or at least restrict a 260lb man.

Handling however could be problematic, vibration and weight differential could be severe, so use all precautionary methods at your disposal.

Though this question could also be of a nautical nature as it arises under the heading Boats & Boating, which in this case none of the above information would be applicable except in unforeseen circumstances.

Keep your motor RUN'IN head-out on the HIGH-WAY,

    I mean WAA-TER .

P.S.         Just joking with Ya man be cool.

But I once saw a guy who put a 500cc Silver Wing Honda block in a 16ft boat, He made it direct drive kept the gearbox and used water pickups to cool the thing. It went pretty good and he never shift past second gear.

    Good luck with your project.

  2. Should be fine but all is based more on the boat as the Captain.
