Question:

Can this much coffee kill me?

Over the past few months my cravings for coffee have turned to the extreme. I'm not talking 4 or 5 cups a day I'm talking 2 pots of coffee alone in the morning between the hours of 5:30 and 8:00. That's 24 cups. I'm resting plenty at night so its not compensating for low energy, I just have to have that much its like my body is deficient in what ever's in coffee. I can function perfectly fine without it, what I cannot understand is why i feel the need to take it in, in such volume. It doesnt appear to be affecting my health because my blood pressure is fine, and I'm having no negitive side effects. What I want to know is even though I'm not suffering of any negitive side effects can this kill me?

That is bad....  u say your bllod presure is fine but, has this been verified by a doctor or are u using the stupid machine in the local grocery store by the pharmacy?!?!?!  It is bad for your heart and over all health to consume that much in one day.  slow down and ask to get a medical exam for general health.  It is too much caffiine for your liver every day and it stains your teeth after awhile.  The fact that you are even asking has to say something to you..... that you know it is not normal.


  2. if you can function fine without it leave it alone it is not good for your stomach or nerves you may not be feeling the results of the caffeine but it is bad for the body. there are tannins and other bromine in it also but the main thing is that the stomach is tanned by the tannins and the effects of coffee are not healthful read science on the effects of coffee on animals. it can make you irritable and moody some have headaches from withdrawal but most of all it is not what your blood is made of it is needing water not coffee and last of all for now it is a diuretic and removes fluid from the body you need water too keep the cells clean coffee on clothes leaves stains but water cleans and purifies the clothes of each cell. no residues left behind.

    danger beware water is much healthier for you.

"feeling" effects does not mean no effects, that much caffeine intake (and the coffee in general) wreaks havoc on your kidneys and urinary tract (kidney stones and in extreme cases failure) then there is you stomach lining and ulcers that may occur and if so will be a major pain for coffee. teeth staining as a no painful but visible side effect. and depending on if you add sugar or not and how much can mess with your liver and add weight and generally lead all kinds of problems.  Coffee is also a diuretic which helps leech minerals from bones increasing chances of osteoporosis down the road... dont quit coffee just tone it down a bit.  

  4. That is way too much. The maximum safe level of caffeine intake we should have in a day is 300mg. Coffee starts at 85mg per cup. Caffeine dehydrates us, and depletes the body of calcium and B vitamins. I am surprised you are not tired and sluggish from the dehydration and loss of B vitamins.

    Too much caffeine on a regular basis cuases dehydration, sleeping problems, mental clarity problems, kidney problems, heart problems, skin problems, and problems with other organs too. Dehydration can make you tired and lethargic as well as cause headaches and other muscular and body aches and pains.

  6. I guess it depends on the individual itself, I for a fact drink 2-3 pots of coffee a day, and as far as I'm concern I feel fine.  As a matter of fact I had a complete physical a few weeks ago, the doctor said it was too much coffee, but other than his opinion, all the tests came out fine.
