  1. Yes they can stand watching Chinas greatness on TV, they can sit too.

I think to be honest the real answer to your question is "Do you own a chair and can you stand watching Chinas greatness"

  2. Westerners will support anything with human rights written all over it....so with all the protests around the world...I say, kill yourselves as a form of protest cause I am watching the Olympics

  3. Yes.  Seeing it on television is better than having to live there.

  4. well said Kai

well if they can't stand it, they can bow

  5. no one should be jealous of the 'greatness' of any other country. i'm korean-chinese, have relatives still residing in hainan island, and have lived in the USA and am currently living in singapore. let china have their day. they have earned much false and over-exaggerated generalisations over the years, and i think they do deserve a big applause for the opening ceremony.

i was trying to do work at the same time but was so captivated by it i didn't do a single thing.

it seems to me as if you cannot stand it that china has been so successful? i'm sorry, if you're jealous about it, none of us here can help you;that's just your own problem. but i really think you should just rant about your jealousy somewhere else and not here where many native chinese will see it.

don't mar the feelings of the chinese. it is now their chance to celebrate, and let them have some of the greatness that they have deserved for a very long time.

  6. White Westerners don't like strength of China because they committed crimes in China 100+ years ago.

  7. ...the h**l you talking about gobonzzo? you know nothing about China. You sounded like a typical uneducated westerner to me. Most Chinese are proud of their nation. They WANT to be part of the Olympics. China is not really like what US media portrayed to be. I still find it very hard to believe that people like you are actually not alone. I lived in China for over 11 years and trust me it's not nearly as bad as what you see on the news. Please take your ignorance somewhere else.

Kai, I noticed that too! lol I couldn't believe it... haha what an expert he is...

  8. I'm a Chinese, I was lying on my dad's bed with my mom watching the opening ceremony.  So, people could have been lying as well.

    meow... !

  9. Moreso, will they be confused by Matt lauer's babbling and NBC's so called "China Expert" who called Tai Chi, Karate...

  10. All the people in China have many issues and many problems, they gave us a great opening for the Olympics let them have their day, they deserve it.

    Congratulations China wonderful celebration.

Edit; is there a cite in China where we can congratulate them for an amazing presentation of their culture so rich and mystical to all of us.

Also Yes we can and we can feel proud for you, just as we felt the same with previous country's.

    But now is your turn.

  11. We can all be proud for China and for each of our own countries.  I am a very proud American! The USA is also great! It is exciting to see the pride and honor each athlete has for his/ her own country!!!

No one is taking a backseat to China or anyone else! We all make this world so interesting. Everyone and every nation has a multitude of offerings to give in many ways to the rest of the world!

  12. Remember it's a communist country and if any of those people performing don't do what they are supposed to do they will be executed.  It's all communist propaganda.  It's a repressive regime which places no value on human life.  Don't be taken in by the show.
