There are some people on this site who are making it their mission to spread a hidious rumor that doesn't pass the sniff test. Much worse than the "who is Trig's real mother" rumor!

And could Yahoo be charged for not taking the lying posts down?

Can people be charged with slander? I know they are in the public eye, but these are felonies the Palin's are being accused of!

  1. Anyone can be charged with slander.

The trouble is pinning it on someone. Charging someone with slander is difficult.

  2. could you elaborate? everything i have heard can be substantiated and only someone blind to reason would not see the glaring mistake made by a political party desperate and trying to grab any chance to win. Hope it backfires!!!

  3. It would be libel, because it's written, but yes, Palin might be able to pursue legal action against half the internet if she really didn't care about winning their votes.

  4. What are talking about? I haven't seen any wild lies.

Remember, it's only slander if its false.

  5. Look at all the flat out lies spread on Obama.  Far more than what has been done with Palin. You just have to dispel the rumors and go on. We have been putting up with it for 18 months and Palin has been in the public eye just a few days and her supporters are crying foul?
