My son is 2 and only 32" tall. My husband and I want to ride Toy Story Mania at California Adventure, but we want to ride it at the same time. Will my son be able to go on the ride with us or can you only do parent swap? I read online that they have parent swap, but I want to know if there is anyone who has taken their 2 year old on this ride.

  1. As long as he can sit up by himself he can ride.  Each vehicle side holds two people where each have their own lap bars.  However, they will let you place an infant between the two of you effectively having your son share the lap bar with either you or your husband.   Even with this you will still proabably have to hold him sometimes.  If you do not want to do this you can do a rider switch.  Just ask for a Switch Pass from the cast member at the entrance to the queue.  One other thing to think about is if you do a switch and it is just the two of you, you may find it quicker to go through the Single Rider line(if they have it open).  If they have the Single Rider line open you probably will get through faster twice than once in the regular line and returning with the switch pass.

  2. i took my 2 1/2 year old niece and they let her ride since she was able to sit up by herself. but they would not let the 8 month infant ride.

  3. As said by the Disneyland website:

Guests with young children may take turns riding with the child. Ask Cast Members for additional information.

In my opinion, I think he is tall enough to ride.

    Have fun,

    Matt from CA

  4. Toy Story Mania has no height requirement, but it might be more fun if you leave the toddler with someone and do that parent swap lol, not sure if they have it for a no height requirement ride but it doesnt hurt to ask, have fun on that ride and if you remember message me how you liked it, I say its the best ride at DCA now and top 3 at the resort now.

p.s. the reason it'd be more fun is because if your holding a toddler its going to be hard to participate in the shooting part and i'm sure he'd be fine skipping that. But I just reread your question and looks like i'm giving you bad info lol cause its just you and your husband. yea... your son can ride i'll stop with that haha.
