Can too much bass collapse your lungs if they are weak?

I heard this is true, and I have weak lungs.

What do you think? Will I be ok with 1100 watts RMS? I have sat in cars in the past with only 400 watts and I couldn't breath. Since then I've gotten used to bass enough that I can breath with 400, but what about 1100 RMS?! and the sub I have is a diamond m6 15 inch....with a phoenix gold 1600 watt mono block amp....thanks...

  1. This is kinda stupid. I like loud music, but your ear drums would be the first to go. Don't know about weak lungs?? Your lungs are inflated by you diaphragm muscle. check with md about your health, then check with ear dr about your hearing, then check with a shrink about you reasoning.

All in good fun just joking!

    Crank it up!!

  2. Well my left lung collapsed overnight when I was 17 (last year).

Anyone will tell you my lungs are great and I can outlast anyone's wind in a wrestling match, running, biking, or whatever. Nobody would have expected my lung to collapse.

I ain't making it up, the medical term for what I experienced is spontaneous partial pneumothorax.

If you've ever had problems breathing I wouldn't recommend pushing your limits with excessive sound pressure levels. I'm fine with 100-200 watts and can shake all three mirrors on my car.

  3. 1. see a doctor

    2. its like you are choosing bass over your life.
