Can travel abroad still have severe consequences, even if I have obtained Travel Document?

I am A Libyan guy, married to US citizen 6 months a go, I filed all my documents to the immigration office, and I requested A travel document so I can travel a board to my home country to see my family. Just yesterday I got the two identical advanced parole notice Approved. Now I am ready to a board, So Can travel abroad has any bad consequences? I am a fried that I can’t come back to the US where my wife is !. Any body has the same issue as me specially Libyan? Please reply and any help will greatly appreciate … thanks so much …

  1. Yeah, sorry, honey, but the truth is, you can't trust either country in this case.  Libya may just decide to confiscate your passport or deny your return visa on their whim, and the US may just decide to throw you into Guantanamo Bay because it sounded like a good idea at the time.

    Or you may just have a nice vacation.  But you're taking your chances.

The United States is a lawless country when it comes to issues like yours.  You should be aware that you can be detained when you try to re-enter the country for any reason, or for no reason at all.  Immigration officials can hold you for days without access to a lawyer, and they can even deport you back to Libya without ever giving you the option of contacting your wife.  This is true even if all of your paperwork is in order.
