  1. turtles are able to stay under water for a long time before they need oxygen

    you dont need to worry because animals including reptiles are smart and they know they need a gulp of fresh air so i say that yes turtles can sleep under water


  2. yes they do, either underwater or out from water (mine walks up to our bed and sleeps with  us every night). some turtles  prefer sleeping underneath something like a floating bark or a bridge.

  3. They do most other things down there.So i would imagine so.

  4. yes they generally sleep under water and bask all day at least my 2 girls that are 36 yrs old still do it!

  6. Yes- they can stay underwater for a long time without needed to go up for oxygen- don't worry,they know when to surface for air.
