Can two brown eyed people make a blue eyed baby?

me and my wife both have dark brown hair and eyes. my wife has 2 sisters both with brown hair and eyes. her parents both have dark hair and eyes. my father is native american (black hair and brown eyes)and the mother has light brown hair with green eyes. we do have a son with brown hair and eyes and out daughter(5years old) has light blue eyes and bright blonde hair.

maybe you had a recessive gene for blue eyes somewhere along the lines.....or maybe she got switched with another baby at the hospital haha

Both of you could carry genes for blond hair and blue eyes, even though you both have brown hair and brown eyes.

Well as for blond hair anyone who now has brown hair may have been blond as a child.

Blue eyes is a recesive gene, it may not always show up but there is still that tiny chance...your daughter was the one who got it.

I think the answer would be obvious, are you really asking if your wife cheated? Why would you think that, don't let this thinking go on get some answers DNA testing it easy put that question to rest the sooner the better so you can give them all the attention you are spending on thinking bad things about you wife.

Yes if you both are carries of the blue eye gene if you don't carrier it then you will not have a blue eyed baby.

My mom has brown eyes my dads whole family has blue.  I have brown eyes.  Because my dad has blue eyes that means that I carrie that gene.  BUT the brown eye gene is dominant.

genes are a funny thing you can carry genes that you don't look like through generations then it will pop up. you or wife could be carrying the blue eye gene from great, great, great, gram-pa. brown eyes/hair are dominate so most of the time you will get those over the blue. how cool is it that your daughter is already beating the system.
