  1. I believe the turtles will eat the goldfish. I would do some more research before putting them in the same tank. Also, I depending on the size of your tank, there may not be enough room for all those critters. They also have different water requirements.

  2. painted turts love goldfish and therefore will definetly eat them so if you really want to keep the goldfish i would strongly reccomend removing them b4 you add the turts

  3. Painted turtles should have live fish included in their diet, especially as babies. So if you want your fish to be eaten go for it. If you were not sure that these turtles eat fish I would definitely suggest doing more research on their care and diet. These are things you need to know before purchasing a new pet.

A turtle tank isn't really the best habitat for a goldfish. A fancy needs at least 20 gallons, commons need 40. And a turtle has a habitat that doesn't require much more water than his length. For example, a turtle 4 inches long only needs about 5-6 inches deep of water. Then you need to factor in a land area big enough for the turtles to stand on. This doesn't leave much space for fish that can grow over a foot long. Your goldfish just can't live a safe, peaceful, long life in a turtle tank. Hope I could help!

  4. as stated, your turtle will eat the goldfish. goldfish should not be fed to turtles because they are much too fatty and are not good nutrition wise.

also, turtles need warm water (about 75-80) and goldfish require colder water.

furthermore! your turtles will need a very large tank. two baby turtles will need at least a 20 gallon tank to start out with if they are both only an inch, and they could end up needing a 240 gallon tank when full grown. are you ready for that commitment?
