want to know if 2 people can use a single day pass because in NYC you could so it would be a waste to buy two if not needed.

  1. No. One person, one pass.  The turnstiles check the tickets and won't let two different people use the same pass (they force this by not letting the same ticket be used twice consecutively at the same station).

  2. No, it's one pass per person, whether you get the Mobilis day pass or the Paris Visite day pass (including discounts on some attractions).

However if you get a carnet (a booklet) of 10 métro tickets (valid on the whole métro network in and outside Paris and the RER in downtown Paris only), you can share the booklet which is plenty if you are staying in Paris for the day. But each person will need their own ticket, so it's 5 trips per person, more than you need in a day probably as most of Paris is walkable.

  3. no...common sense! it says SINGLE metro pass!!!! NYC is not Paris!

  4. Use metro tickets its cheaper. 10 tickets for 11 euros.
