My boyfriend and I bought a car together. I paid 2 thousand towards it but it is in his name. I just want to know since we're not married, is it possible both of us be on the title. Someone please help!

  1. Yes they can. Both my wife and I have our names on the title.

  2. You contact the license plate division of your local Tax Assessor or City Hall.  Then you both go down and register it in both of your names.  You both will have to provide proof of insurance to do so.  And if he tells you it isn't possible or is not willing to go with you, get out now before he uses you even more.  Because if he is not willing to go with you and get this done it is a major red flag that you are being used and will be discarded as soon as he gets all he can from you.

Good Luck.  I hope that he does the right thing and is a nice guy.
