You can use it for advertising, but why would you?  It is a social netowrking site.  It is mainly individuals.  YOu may rech alot of people, but unsolicited advertisements on myspace give your comapny a bad name.  Use it for yourself and networking with people in the industry.  If you want, run an ad in their classified section.  But frankly, a marketing plan built around myspace is a waste of time.  It doesn't target the audience you are trying to reach who are looking for your products or services.

So can you- yes, but I wouldn't waste your time.

you sure can, set up a profile and start requesting friends and bringging them to your page. not sure if insurance is a great industry for the mysapce demographic though.

Of course you can. Use google adwords(pay per click)

But do not use keywords targeting. You need to use site targeting and choose myspace as your option.
