Can u become an aussie citizen?

can u become an Australian citizen if younare a new Zealand permanent resident? Thanks a lot

  1. A New Zealand citizen holds a NZ passport & they can come & stay as long as they like live & work etc. but are limited to financial aid from our government for the first 12 months ( dole etc).

    IF you are a permanent resident of NZ but don't hold a NZ passport it will be different.

    I know as a canadian with a parent being an aussie that there aren't any worries for dual citizenship.

Im a New Zealand citizen, and I pretty much asked the same question on this site.  Im not sure if its the same as being a permanent NZ resident, but according to people who have answered my question I can just fly over there and live and work as an Aussie citizen....Hope this helps....if not have a look at the answers to my question.
