your 13. your alone at a park, ur name is wyatt, nobody is at the park, which is a skate park by the way. one car pulls in. nobody gets out. u keep skating. another car pulls in. so two plain cars no sirens. nothing.

u turn around to look again and one man and one woman with guns on their hips and dressed in average clothing walk towards the only entrance to the park. one of them. a woman starts screaming, COLTON! COLTON! get over here, u walk over there. and ask excuse me? did u do something wrong? their response is "do u think u did something wrong!??" my response is it uh suppossed to be closed or some-" before u finish. the woman and man in REGULAR clothing walk towards you. slap a cuff on u and say ur under arrest, u think ur being kidnapped, u scream u cry, u try to run. the man puts u in an arm bar. the woman chases your other hand trying to grab it. u fend her off with feet and ur left hand, she is pulling u by ur hair. so when she puts her head in front of u. u bite her hair in attempt to get loose. this whole time

ur crying and screaming ur being kidnapped. and they continually ask u ur name and u wont tell em. they throw u on the ground. cutting u wide open with the handcuff, they hand cuff u to a pole. pull ur shirt over ur face, then the woman pulls out a phone. i tell her, if ur real cops, call my dad. or call the cop i do know. the wont do it, then finally a UNIFORMED car pulls up and they put u in it. they take u to the juvy center, still insisting ur name is colton. they slap paper on a table in front of u and say that ur name is colton. this whole time ur bleeding badly on ur chest, then u tell them ur name is wyatt, and where u live. they walk to a cpu. find out ur the wrong kid. and charge u with FELONY assault on a cop, and resisting arrest, they say u cant go to ur middle schoool. make u stay a night in juvy. and refuse to drop the charges. so they beat up the wrong kid and get him in trouble.

this is a true story. it happened to me. i am awwaiting trial and wanted to see if u all agree with me on the fact that i had a reason to fear for my life. and that they SHOULD drop charges. do u agree?

  1. well when people with guns on their belt and handcuffs come and shout the name colten when your name isnt colten. dont go near them. if they point at you and tell you to go to them assume they are cops. if you dont think they are request to see their badge since it should be visible on their belt too. part of this story seems made up since they would run your ID or name before they put you in the car. they do have the right to charge you with resisting arrest but if you truely thought they werent cops then tell the judge your side of the story and have the arresting officer presant. the judge should have the arrest report so the cop cant change their story but the judge and the cop will know if you are lieing

  2. Find out a way you can get as much publicity on this as possible for this case!!!!!!!!!!!! I don't care if you have to contact Nancy Grace!

Wow a lot of your responses were very arrogant...  Lets remember we are talking to a 13 year old boy folks... who was approached by officials that were not uniformed and pulled guns out on him... he never claimed to be Colton... they called out to him and didn't give him time to respond... I'm sure he thought he was being kidnapped

  3. wow dude that's g*y.def take this to court.and get a good lawyer.say stuff like u were scared.which u probably were.i say start a riot hahaha

  4. This smells fishy.  I agree that we aren't getting the whole story here.

First, any people that carry guns around and slap handcuffs on you are most likely cops.  Don't bite them.  Calm down and talk.  Once they fingerprint you at JH later, they'll find out you're NOT COLTON.

Second, regardless if you're Wyatt or Colton, don't hit or bite the cops.  Sounds like they got the correct charges on you, kid, sorry to say.

Fear for your life? Little dude, you're 13.  Nothing in this story has "life threatening" written on it.  It does have "stupid" written on it, though

  5. well for starters I'm sure we aren't getting the entire story.  Not because youa re intentionally holding anything back ,but that's just the nature of only hearing one persons point of view.  As a result of only getting your side, it is not just difficult, but impossible to give you a good answer because we don't have all the facts.  However, from what you have said, I'd say that the officers arrested you under the good faith that you were the person that they believed you to be and since they were clearly displaying there badges, (As you already stated that you saw them right away), you had no right what-so-ever to resist unless they were being abusive, and based on your own discription of what happened, they were not.

  6. dude they shouldn't be able to charge you for resisting arrest if they were not in uniform and you thought you were being kidnapped. personally i would have done the same thing. that is wrong what they are doing to you. i hope everything goes well.

  7. Sounds like you need a lawyer, you may be able to get the charges dropped but you shouldn't resist arrest or act up when cops are around or they assume your guilty. Had you not fought them you wouldn't have been hurt and you would have been cleared at the park with little to no incident. Live and learn before it's too late, it's easier to go with the flow.

  8. Kinda hard to believe.

  9. That is SO stupid!!!! You should file charges against them for assulting you!

  10. You resisted the police. That is the story. They can detain you on suspicion, and you would have been released when you proved who you were.By fighting, you commited a violation of the law. Talk to the judge and explain, maybe he will be easy on you.

  11. By you walking over to them when they were calling Colton, that made them think you were Colton, and obviously Colton is wanted for something.

  12. You sound like you had reasons to be afraid.

    * Not using grammar and punctuation when you write makes your story very hard to read. You turn in a paper written in this style in school and the only letter grade you are going to get is "F".

  13. --- IF your story is true then get yourself to the public defenders office and explain the situation to them. As a minor you are entitled to the protection of your own legal counsel.

--- IF what you described is true and the officers were in plain clothes and did not identify themselves then you should have a pretty good case, depending on what state you live in. In some states it is legal to resist a illegal or unjust attempt to arrest you. In other states, MOST states, it is illegal to resist once they say they are police.

--- YOU did make mistakes though, you responded to them calling you by another name and apparently because you fit the description of "Colton" they thought you were him. You should NOT have resisted as you said you saw them in 2 different cars, wearing guns openly, and having hand cuffs. That is a pretty good indicator you should have known or suspected they were cops. BUT a scared 13 year old who has never been in trouble before can't be expected to respond with the rationality of an adult. If what you say is accurate and you have never been in trouble before then you should get a public defender, unless your rents can afford a better one.

--- If, however you have been in lots of trouble before and you are familiar with the system and the police then you will have a lot of trouble defending your actions.

--- However, they made mistakes too if what you said is accurate. They failed to identify themselves with a badge or say they were police right off. So it was a two way street. Likely they have charged you to keep you from being able to sue them IF what you said is an accurate description of what happened.

--- Your attorney, public defender, should find out what Colton's description really is. If Colton is 6' 2" and weighs 210 with red hair and you are 5' 09" and weigh 140 with blond hair then it will obviously be a factor in your favor.

--- Get your hiny to the public defender's office or call them. You don't need mom or dad's OK if they won't take you. Call them by phone and explain it to them and they will come to you if you cant get to them. As a minor you are entitled to your own independant legal representation when you are being charged with a crime and battery to a peace officer is a SERIOUS crime. A felony in most states

--- However a good attorney can argue you were a scared kid who thought he was being hussled by preverts IF the officers were in plain clothes and failed to identify themselves as you said..

  14. No, I can't believe this tale

  15. I'd ask why the h**l you walked over and responded to "Colton".
