  1. I think the DOJ messed up big time.

All I can hope for is that the FCC ends this thing.  I have a feeling that the FCC will approve the deal, but with so many concessions that the Sirius/XM suits will want to back out.  For instance, giving up part of their spectrum to special interest groups who line their pockets.  Also, forcing the combined company to give up half of the SDARS spectrum.  If this happens, one of the "current" company's hardware will be obsolete.

  2. It still has to go in front the FCC to pass (the DOJ was for anti-trust issues, THE FCC actually issued the sat licenses to XM and Sirius), It's supposed to pass but word is watch for the concessions that will be imposed on the mergered company that will make profits be low for a few years for sure...

One rumor has Clear Channel trying to position themselves as a player who will pay the merger for a portion of sat space

  3. I think it's great and about time.  Without the merger both companies would have failed. (Which is exactly what the National Assoc. of Broadcasters wanted to happen).  All the talk of a monopoly was a bunch of c**p.  Terrestrial radio was petrified of this merger.  They saw how much Stern hurt them by leaving.  Now with the merger, they have taken the first steps at bringing down the true monopoly, Clear Channel.  Great day for Sirius/XM, very bad day for old fashioned radio.

  4. I think my Sirius stock will go up!! Yippie more money for me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    I have about 4300 shares.
