Can u bring a portable dvd player in your carry on bag?

will they confiscate a small dvd player for watching movies, if you bring it in your carry on bag?

From personal experience, I know that you can bring it with you and you can use it during flight.  You might not be able to use it during take off and landing.  I travel with my grandkids and we always bring a DVD player.

YES THEY WOULD ASK YOU TO PUT IT AWAY BUT ON SOME AIRLINES THEY PLAY MOVIES

they actually prefer you to have your electronic items in your carry on bags

but you can't turn on the player until you are up and stable in the air..not while its leaving the airway or when its getting ready to land

This is a very interesting question and neither of the previous answerers gave a reference for their answers...so...I think you should call your airline and ask.  I find it hard to believe that they would prevent you from using it...do call and ask so you know for sure.
