Can u buy new toilet handles?

my toilet handle broke in half yesterday and i was wondering can u go out and just get a new one and put it on your toilet or what do u half to do. thnxs so much

Yes, you can buy them at a hardware store or a plumbing supply house.  Or you can call a plumber who will charge you $55 an hour and will probably charge you for the time it took to stop at the hardware store or plumbing supply house.

just as replace said...   gave him a thumbs up...   did one for my neighbor last week..   cost $4  and its  left handed thread.   opposite of normal screws and bolts.

You can buy replacement at hardware store or Wal-Mart.

CAUTION:  the damned things have a reversed s***w mechanism.  As in, turn nut clockwise to remove.

I don't know if you can buy just the handle or if you have to buy an entire replacement kit. If you do have someone help you and replace everything. It's not that hard of job to do. If your handle is that bad off everything else is more than likely about to fail. They are not that expensive and come with directions to install them. You will be set for a while again. Go for it. It's not rocket science trust me.
