No....you can maybe suck on the gum or something but there would really be no point in it. If you chew gum you may break your retainer or something.

No. You should also not drink anything besides water while wearing them. If you drink soda or juice, you are trapping the sugar and acid in the tray and it is actually giving your teeth a high powered sugar and acid bath-not good for your teeth. It is not a good idea to suck on hard candy, either-nothing but plain water!
