I am starting to compost (my first time) I am working with a 5 Gal. bucket with lid. Should I put my pistachio shells in there with everything else. Today is my first day and I have very warm compost so far so I think things are going well. I do not want to put the shells in and have them take more than a month to break down seeing I am working with such a small bucket. I will eventually get more brave and try REAL composting i just want to give it a try first. I have vegetable scraps, coffee grinds a bit of soil, newspaper, grass and dry leaves so far. Any more HELP especially with the pistachio shells

Thanks!
