also,how do u get hired by nightclubs? do u advertise urself or is it word by mouth?

It actually depends on where..., city, state, country....there are laws that clubs are governed by....Some clubs regardless of law, may not consider you unless you're at least 21....some at least 18....DJ spots are hard to come by and usually available when advertised by the club itself....
