  1. I wouldn't buy a car without docs as I think it may be sus, ie a stolen car.

  2. Why are you thinking of buying a car without reg documents???

You can aply for a new one but DVLA will contact current owner to verify it's not theirs anymore....if it's been nicked then they will probably want it back!

  3. you can not drive a car on UK roads with no MOT and no Insurance or a valid Tax Disc.

you will have to have it towed.

i would be very careful of buying a car with no documents how do you know the car is there's to sell, it might be stolen or left in their care as the owner is on holiday

  4. If you are saying they is no registration certificate, then don't even bother buying the car.

  5. When you buy a car, the seller must give you the piece of the document that you post off to say the car is now yours, (vehicle registration document). If the seller doesn't give you this then no money should be passed as the car will still belong to him/her. You also need to make sure it is MOT'd and taxed when you drive it home as otherwise it's illegal.

NB Just found this link for you too.

  6. No. No. And too much hassle  to be worth it in most cases.

  7. If by documents you mean V5 then yes, provided it's taxed MOT'd (if necessary) and insured.

However, I wouldn't even think about buying a car with no V5!

Having just read your question from four days ago, if that's the path you're taking then no, it will have to be trailered.
