  1. what you can do is consult a lawyer about having a restraining order on your ex mother in law for the kids. so when your exhusband has then she can not be around. be sure that you have evidence that there IS a problem like get your kids to write a letter to you on how their grandmother makes them feel and if it has signs that she makes them distress you can use it in court. if your ex mother in law is that vicious then ask your oldest daughter to take a cam corder and video her and grandma's alone time or tell her to hide it and not tell grandma. its important that you have proof though so in case it goes to court your full on set and can get a restraint. :) uncles a lawyer and im studying law.

  2. Talk to someone first like a Lawyer then make a move, I dont think you can but if you feel that strongly about it, Talk to your EX too see if he has noticed anything but keep it casual just in case he gets strange about it. Just like" Have you noticed something wrong with the kids like stress or similar" if he says yes devel in further to find out what. And then move ahead.

  3. What can you do?  Go and hire an attorney and discuss these issues with them.  Have them advise you on what to do.  And if things are really that bad, a law guardian might be assigned to represent the best interest of  your children while the matter heads to court.  In NYS you cannot file a restraining order unless a criminal act has been committed.  And what you are saying isn't a criminal act.  My other suggestion is getting your children into counseling - without parents present after the initial consultation - so that you have unbiased third party listening to your kids until a law guardian is assigned or whathaveyou.

The sooner you get a move on this the better.  After all, your children shouldn't suffer because you and your husband couldn't figure out how to make a marriage last.
