Can u get insurence for a horse your leasing?

I might be leasing and mum wants 2 know if we can get insurance.

  1. Yes, you can get insurance on the horse. Most owners require the leasee to pay insurance anyway. You'll have to make the horse's owner the beneficiary in the case of death. All it will do for you is help cover any medical expenses. You should discuss all the terms with the owner prior to actually getting a policy, but it is definitely a good idea :)


  2. yes, shouldn't be a problem  as I had it for a horse I leased. Good for you for taking such a  responsible approach !. phone your insurer or ask  friends who they use to help find a good company :o)

  3. the horse may already be insured. ask the people you are leasing it from if it is insured. yes you can get insurance, and it is really easy. pick up a copy of horse and hound or some other magazine and take a look at the adverts in it. Make sure you also have some insurance too, incase you have a nasty fall. Again, look at some adverts in a horse magazine. x
