if you really don't want to wear a tampon, the natural flow of water actually stops your period, as long as you're in the water. next time you take a bath or shower while on your perioud, notice how it stops.

the problem is, once you're out of the water, it'll start up again, maybe a bit heavily. so be ready with a towel.
