Youtube is possible, But bbc iplayer probably won't be, for 2 reasons it will be very flash heavy, most mobile phones don't support flash. And Unless theres wifi on the phone it will cost you a fortune in data charges.

as you can with the n95.

well pending on your network provider.  if you are with ppl like hutchinson '3', you can't do anything on the internet.

when you say for free, you still have to pay for network data costs, unless you are linking in to a wireless network (which is another great feature of these phones)

iplayer apparently now works with the n95 so i'd assume it works on the new n96.

there was a story in the news a while back about a guy who watched an episode of jail break while sitting on the beach on holiday in portugal and arrived home to a £31000 phone bill.

Data plan concerns aside (your thing to worry about and the phone does have WLAN) you can of course enjoy the same internet access as on the other S60 phones plus the latest Flash version. Thus YouTube definitely accessible. iPlayer - haven't tried so definitely ... maybe: remember that is only available (and free) for UK citizens.

Aside from this the phone also has mobile tv (DVB-H) where available.
