No because the media center uses your online to stream all your content from your pc to your 360 without a connection it won't work.

no you cant.  Media center is a program that runs on the 360.  if you play a game it will cancel out media center,  if you want to listen to music while you play games you can hook up your ipod to your 360 and listen to your music while you play games.  Also you can stream music via streaming software:
