  1. It can. Last winter I did some research on jump training because we have started to use it in our volleyball programs, and I find that it works well if used correctly.

  2. yes because your creating muscle in your legs and then you can jump higher because you have more muscle to push up with when you jump to spike it

  3. You should do plyometric training. It will increase your explosive power and increase your vertical

  4. Squats increase your vertical jump.

  5. no honey, it will just tone your thighs. If you want to improve your jump, get a chunk of wood about 2 inches thick by about 6 inches and just take the ball (front) of your feet and stand on  it and then push yourself up do that about 10 times then rest. its tiring but it really helps.

  6. yes it works the calf and the mucsles in your legs

  7. Yes because with the toning that you do with squats it tones the muscles that you use in your legs to jump higher!

  8. You will need to have some weights to help you. My suggestion is to try wall sits. Sit a 90 degree angle against a wall. NO hands!!! Do this as long as you can every day. Another tip is to do stairs. Start by going up a set of stairs by jumping on each stair all the way up then do it agian by skipping a stair all the up. Then Skip two stairs all the way up then try to skip as many as possible all the way up. The more stairs the better. As well playing some beach Volleyball this smmer is great for your vert. jumping in the sand is fantastic for increasing strength.

  9. if you're strengthening the leg muscle then ya.  another way to increase your jump is to strengthen legs by tredding water.  Also make sure that you use your abs when jumping this will add up to 3 inches no lie.

  10. yes it does increase your vertical jump. last summer i did some research on what increase vertical jumps and it said that squats do, and i look it up again 5-6 weeks ago and it still said that squats help you vertical jumps

    hope this helps!
