can u keep a crested gecko and a leopard gecko together? i would like to know becasue iu have a leopard gecko but i also want a crested ! please give me a accurate right answer! thank you

  1. Absolutely not.  Leos require desert temps (90 degrees) and desert humidity (very low).  Cresteds, on the other hand, can't handle temps over about 83 for extended periods of time without causing them undue stress or even death.  They also need relatively high humidity with a 90% humidity spike once or twice a day.  These conditions would hurt a leo because the humidity would cause upper respiratory infections.  The lack of humidity in the leos tank would cause the crested to become hugely dehydrated.

    So no.  They are not even close to being compatible.  Also, leos are a highly solitary species, so forcing them to live with another gecko is really just a stress factor.


  2. ummm no! they are two completly different species of gecko! that come from different parts of the world and have different environmental requirements!! i have no experience with cresties.. but i have Leos!  it's never really a good idea to keep two different species of any animal together!

    be a responsiable and if your going to get a crestie. get the appropriate set up for it.
