  1. I myself would let him go. just for the fact that he is wild. He may never eat for you. If you do decide to keep him start looking for web sites that will tell you what he eats. what kind of cover he needs to hide in. how much proper light it needs bwcause it is a basking lizard. water, vitamins, please be very careful with this lizard. they look very delicate and could die easily. I never keep anything from the wild and I am instilling the same thing into my 9 year old son. he knows that in order to enjoy some pets its easier to watch them in their natural habitat. good luck and if it doesn't work out after a couple day please release him they are a gorgeous lizard

  2. Yes you can. You have to set up a basking lamp for him. Make his habitat as close to his wild habitat as you can. They like to hide between logs and wood so make sure he has a place to hide. Provide water and they eat live food such as crickets, grasshoppers etc. I would use bark chips as a bottom for the tank. Good luck. If i can help any more let me know!

  3. u really should put it back wild caught reps hardly ever do well in captivity. the stress and shock of coming into captivity kills many others die due to a lowered immune system (caused by stress). those that survive often have stress related behavior disorders get ill more often are harder to tame and have a shortened lifespan. they also never settle down and have a poor quality of life.

also there is the environmental implications to think about.
