Yes, you can survive here without arabic, english is a common launguage and also you can find hindi, urdu, and you'll get people from all over the world, but if you are an indian, you can speak hindi.

I heard that is Saudi Arabia where you'll get some difficulties if you dont know arabic.

I'm sorry to say this as a local of the UAE but its not you who have to learn Arabic it is we - locals - who have to learn English.

You won't have any language problems AT ALL. all places speak English in Dubai.

Of course u can. I am living in dubai since last two years and i don't know how to write or read or speak Arabic at all. I didn't find any problem so far

Yes you can, but I think it makes sense to know a little, especially arabic numbers.

Official documents are in Arabic so when you are getting drivers licence and the like you need to pay for a typist to write forms in Arabic for you.

Yeah you sure can ... I am Arab myself and I did high-school there in a private school, and I barely spoke any Arabic myself outside of my home.

Sure you can, in general UAE people speaking English widely, and rarely to need to use only Arabic with no choice..
