You're expected to act like a responsible adult, but within restrictions, you certainly can.

When I was in uniform, I found the O-club usually a bit too restrained. I was never able to accept an invitation, but I have it on good authority that the NCO clubs were much better.

One of the reasons for the O-club restraint: my neighbor was in KC-135's (tankers). His wife told this joke at a dining in, having been to the grog bowl one time too many, and it wasn't a good move for his career: Q: What's the difference between a Rolls Royce and a bomber pilot's wife? A: Not very many people have been in a Rolls. When the commanding general is a bomber pilot, and listening in, that's a joke best left untold.

after boot camp MCT you can party to your hearts content, just make sure your able to PT monday morning. after a while you get used to running in the morning with a hangover. plus every things cheaper on base including alcohol.

but get caught doing any drugs and your in some ****. parties are usually fun after a long week, especially during 72's and 96's BTW sailors cant hang, Marines can party

Sure, some of the best hand to hand combat training is done in the NCO clubs.

My platoon got a last minute mission in Vietnam......my platoon sergeant took half the platoon on one truck......I took the other half on the second truck..... we started loading M4T6 bulk bridging.... finished a two hour job in one hour.... my team lost......I bought the beer....

There is partying and there is partying......

h**l yeah i never party as hard in the civilian side as i have in the military  especially after being gone for 6 month from civilization
