  1. Yeah, you can play Ps2 games with 60gb ( not being made anymore ) and 80gb ( soon to be replaced with 80gb core that doesn't play Ps2 games )

  2. on the 60gb %90 of the ps2 games work,o the 80gb %85 of the ps2 games work and the 40gb cant play ps2 games at all

  3. Yes.  20gb, 60gb, and the current model of the 80gb can play PS2 games.  However, new 80gb model that is coming out later on will NOT be able to play PS2 games.  The 120gb PS3 is also another PS3 model coming out later and it will be able to play PS2 games.

Honestly, people make a big deal with backwards compatibility.  I decided to get a 80gb so that i could play PS2 games, but i never even touched a single PS2 game after i bought a couple PS3 games.  Having backwards compatibility is just something "extra", once you play PS3 games you will never go back.

  4. They say you can!!! But why bother if ya have a PS3!!

  5. Yes, you can but only specific ones. The 80gb one can but not the new 80gb one that is going to be released and the metal gear solid bundle one. The 20gb and 60gb can. The 40gb can't.

  6. only on the 80gb

  7. Only on the 80GB, but if you have ps2 games and a ps2 just play them on your ps2, there is no difference
