financial aid back..please...

I was serving a academic dismissal term for the spring semester (cuz I did really bad my fall semester - i felt that the major I was doing wasn't for me which was bio) So I was under the required 2.0 GPA (I couldnt take classes at my main university during the spring so I couldnt raise it to keep my financial aid). While serving my dismissal term, I took classes towards the major I changed to, nutrition. It was only two but I made an A in both.

I decided to change my major to nutrition at my main university so I could make good progress and maintain a good GPA.

Do you think this reason is good enough for giving my financial aid back?

What do you think I should add more..?

  1. It is perfectly acceptable that you find yourself in a major that you did not do well in, or did not agree with you.  This does happen and is a good start for an appeal request.  By taking a couple of courses toward a new major and making the change it shows positive progress on your part to do better.  I think this will help you in the long run with this issue.

In the end it is up to the school, but all school's want to see their students succeed too.  They will likely be willing to give you a chance if you can show them you will work hard to do better.  Be honest in your appeal letter, don't make a lot excuses and give it your best.  I am sure it will all work out for the best in the end.
