  1. 3 possibilities:

    1) You take RER B (direction Robinson/St-Rémy-lès Chevreuse) to Saint-Michel Notre Dame where you connect with RER C (direction Pontoise or Versailles Rive Gauche / St Quentin en Yvelines) and get off at Champs de Mars Tour Eiffel.

It's the thick vertical blue line and the thick horizontal yellow line (along the Seine river). http://www.ratp.info/orienter/cv/cv_en/c...

    2) Or walk to the back of the Gare du Nord station to the métro stop called la Chapelle and take métro line 2 to Charles de Gaulle Etoile + métro line 6 to Trocadéro (area across from the river from where you get the best view of the Tower as you walk to it).

    3) You could also take bus 32 to the Trocadéro if you prefer.

The trip costs the price of a métro ticket, which is 1.50 € but if yo plan on traveling more, you can either buy:

    - a "carnet" of 10 métro tickets for 11 € (this will give you 10 trips at 1.10 € instead of 1.50 €)

    - a Mobilis day pass (zones 1-2) for 5.60 €. Worth it if you are going to take the métro more than 3 times that day and won't be traveling the next day (in which case the carnet would be better)

Here is info on how to use the Parisian public transportation network : http://en.parisinfo.com/paris-map/gettin...

This site will also list all the attractions in Paris.
