Can u put an additional battery on the electric scooter like tvs tenz ?

i have a scooty pep+ which was bought by my sister back in 2006. i have been riding till date but as we know the current situation of fossil fuel which is required by any vehicle is high on price nd low on any petrol station? i have actually waited for 6 hrs in the petrol station for filling jus 4 ltrs of petrol!!! and i am now opting for electric scooter!! so i want help whether we can put additional battery for the scooty tenz as i have to go for 40-60 km ride which does contain uphil about 1 km so any1 can sugest on this topic and also if u have any other electric scooter brand name for ride of about 40-60 with uphill can give but it has to be the names which are found in Indian markets since many of the machine comes from India
