Question:

Can u really get shorter while running a marathon or a really long distance run?

not dramatical height loss but even a cm

  1. If you measured yourself before and after the marathon, you would probably measure shorter right afterwards.  You didn't really lose any height, though.  People are tallest when they wake up.  During the day, as they are upright, the spine shortens a bit, and they would measure as shorter.  but the next morning they are taller again.


  2. Yes, but temporarily, because as you run, gravity pushes down on your spine... but you still get your height back when you wake up the next day haha
