If you're good you can.  You have to be able to read your opponents, calculate the odds quickly, and focus on making the right decisions.  Most people can't do that on a regular basis.

The fact that there are several multi-millionaires who earn their money almost exclusively from poker, and their endorsement deals that they got because of poker, proves that you can.

i've seen no limit, pot limit, and limit.

yes, if not there wouldn't be so many people who have made a consistent and comfortable living off the game...look at it this way, in theory the cards break even over the course of time, so if everyone gets the same cards over time then the only way to make money is to have made better decisions over that time frame than your opponents
